More Olympics!

Welcome back bloggers!

This is more facts about the Olympic Games!

Did you know that Lisa Carrington, the Maori NZ Canoer, has won THREE GOLD medals so far in the canoe sprint! So far we have got 7 GOLD, 6 SILVER, and 6 BRONZE medals. The Maori name for the Olympics is Taumahekeheke.

Each classroom has their own medal tally and they each have different ways of marking it. Hauraki colours in the circles with black marker and writes what sport we won it for. Waitemata colours in the circles with the relevant colours but does not write the sport. Manukau colours in the circles with black marker and also does not write the sport.

Anyway, that's all for this week!

I will update you soon!

Bye!

  2. Awesome post Madeleine!

Lisa Carrington is an amazing NZ Olympian and now our most decorated athlete!
The medal tally was great to see in class and it made it easy for me to see how we were doing against other countries. Will you be watching the Paralympics next week?

Keep up the awesome blogging :)
