BASF- kids lab

Hi bloggers,

On the 19th of November while the most school was doing athletics day me, Lily, Daniel and Ibrahim went BASF kids lab at the University of Auckland. It was fun and exciting, here is my blog post.

First when the bell rang at 8:50 am. We had to go to the office and wait for my Mum. When she arrived we ran straight to my Mum’s car. On the way we stopped at Plant and Food Research to pick up the swipe card to get into the building from my Dads work. Then we left and went to park in the car park at the University.

When we arrived at the University we walked into a room were one of the staff told us some things and showed us a slide of what we were going to do there . Then we walked upstairs into the lab and we started to do science. Lily and I were buddies. Me and Lily did our first experiment it was when the scientist put water and super absorber in the cup and put it over someone's head and  it didn't come out. It became ice! Then we did some other experiments like making goo worms, cleaning water from blue to clear, changing the colour of beads from the power of the sun, and more. My favourite part was when we got to colour in the picture with red cabbage juice and then put lemon juice and dish wash liquid and vinegar and covered it on top and a beautiful picture. Then we did some other experiments after. Then we went back to school and did the relays.
